TEAM OF LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE
We are a bunch of energetic, like-minded enthusiasts from different work fields, age groups and perspectives who have at least one thing in common – the intent to Give Back. After looking at life from various angles and with a modest degree of social-experience, we have a common realisation that one of the best ways to lead a self-fulfilling and happy life is to work and care for others. And there always has been this desire to go back to our roots, our culture and traditions (that we enjoyed as kids) and to connect more with nature even though we are part of the concrete jungles that are cities.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
As cliché as it may sound, a lot of things started and ended with the Pandemic. Covid19 gave the world time to rest, introspect and connect with one’s’ inner self. While all was dark and gloomy outside, people were mostly held together by the bonds we shared with family, friends, and nature be it in the form of food, pets or our kitchen/terrace-gardens and the like. It became clear what to value more – our physical and mental health, and how we manage our relationships with one another and also with nature and its beings. It also became clear how inseparable we are with the natural world, and the collective damage that we have inflicted on mother earth that’s in-turn wreaking havoc on us.
There is a need to change our mindset, ask questions (why?) and conceptualise solutions that focus on social and environmental sustainability, keeping in mind that this planet too has its limits.
Thus, inspired and guided by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and with a Planet-Centric approach in our tactical activities – we at Boondein have taken baby steps to tackle these issues.
This requires massive effort at multiple levels. But what better way than to empower the people doing it at the ground level and inspire others. We want to capitalise on the Power of People, You as the driving force for these changes. What better scale, coverage and publicity can one get – than to empower individuals across our vibrant nation to lead this change? We bring the action and responsibility to you: to establish a private purpose of planting a tree, adopting a cow or donating a bird-shelter – be it a gift, a donation, a CSR activity, a celebration event or just a random act of kindness. WHERE ARE WE GOING
We found our calling in making the environment green and also by protecting and nurturing the eco-system elements starting with chirpy birds and humble cows. Through our strategic partnerships, actions, and initiatives – we are determined to make a positive change in the lives of people, flora and fauna that we embrace.
